Cross Stepping and Nose Riding Clinic -
From 8 to 10am Surfing with Ami will be hosting a Cross Stepping and Nose Riding Clinic. This event is for women at any skill level who are already able to paddle into their own waves and are ready to start learning how to cross step and nose ride. We will start on the beach with the basics (timing, first steps, stepping back), go through some intermediate skills (bottom turns, setting the rail/tail) and work through more advanced skills (hanging five/10 and getting back) throughout this event. You may want to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. After that, participants will paddle out for general coaching and photos.
Although not required, it is recommended that you have at least a 9' longboard for this event.
The Clinic is $40 to attend (if you'd like to add pictures, it is an additional $20 - please let us know ahead of time if you'd like to add pictures to this event).

Turning Clinic -
From 10:30am to 12:30pm Surfing with Ami will be hosting a Turning Clinic. This event is for women at any skill level who are already able to paddle into their own waves and are ready to start learning how to turn all the way through more experienced surfers looking to work on their turning skills. We will start off on the beach, starting with the basics (starting to turn, changing directions, frontside/backside), moving through intermediate topics (taking your skills to an open-faced wave, take off/attack, bottom turns, getting speed) and finishing off with more advanced techniques (top to bottom turns, off the top, floaters, linking maneuvers). This is for all board types/sizes. You may want to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Once we are finished going over the information on the beach, everyone will head out for a surf session and photos.
The price for this event is $40. You can add pictures to this event for an additional $20 (all pictures will be sent to you via Dropbox).
Rental boards are available at this event and must be booked at least 24 hours advance (Please contact us directly for rental availability if it is under 24 hours to the event start time).
